Warioto Farm is located in the rolling hills of Middle Tennessee. We have 3 barns, 8 large pastures and 8 paddocks spread over 300 acres. |
| Over the past 30 years, we have gained national and international recognition for breeding and showing quality young hunters.
Our breeding, boarding, training and individual care programs are known for
giving superior attention to every detail concerning the horses and their

A Bit About the Faces Behind Warioto | |

Joni Werthan, owner and president of Warioto Farm Inc., has for over three decades pursued her commitment to breeding horses for the American Hunter Industry. Joni continues to put the work behind the words "To breed horses that combine correct conformation, kind disposition and athletic ability for the Hunter Industry." Joni has served on the boards of the Middle Tennessee Hunter and Jumper Association, International Hunter Futurity, co-chairman of the IHF Challenge Series, AHSA Hunter Breeding Committee, Washington International Horse Show, and Nashville CARES Horse Show. Joni continues her involvement with many non-profit organizations showing her deep commitment to the welfare of both horses and humans. Joni can be seen showing in the Adult Amateur Hunter division. |
Julie Bush, General Manager and vice-president of Warioto Farm Inc., came to Warioto twenty years ago to manage longtime friend Joni's farm after gaining knowledge working for such well-respected professionals as Patty Heuckeroth, Otis Brown and Susan Ashe. Julie feels that "the business partnership with Joni works so well because we both bring in our own individual expertise and skills to the overall integrity of Warioto Farm Inc." Julie is dedicated to ensuring that the horses at Warioto Farm Inc. are given the ultimate care and attention that our clients expect and deserve. Julie has served on the boards of the Middle Tennessee Hunter and Jumper Association and the Nashville CARES Horse Show. Julie shows in the Adult Amateur Hunter Division. |
